May 14

The ProSiebenSat. Group sets up a new production company, RedSeven Entertainment. RedSeven Entertainment is producing light entertainment programming for the pan-European TV group. Additionally, the new company is developing talents and building names for artists in cooperation with the Group's stations. By establishing a separate production company for nonfiction entertainment, the Group also intends to facilitate its access to programming rights and to improve the use of its portfolio of original and acquired rights. Jobst Benthues is Managing Director of RedSeven Entertainment.

June 5

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group acquires Feeem Media GmbH.


June 11

Axel Salzmann takes over the position of Chief Financial Officer for ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. He is responsible for Group Financial Control, Finance and Investor Relations, Legal Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Administration. Axel Salzmann succeeds Lothar Lanz who left the company effective June 10, 2008.

June 16

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group sells the C More Group AB to Swedish broadcaster TV4. TV4 operates a number of Free and Pay TV channels in Sweden and is part of the Bonnier Group, a family-owned international media group.


June 17

Andreas Bartl, managing director of ProSiebenSat.1’s subsidiary ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland GmbH since May 2008, joins the Executive Board with responsibility for the management segment ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland.

July 1

Broadcasting Text International (BTI) is sold.


September 1

Klaus-Peter Schulz is to be the new Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. He will be in charge of the Group’s Sales, Marketing and Research in German-speaking countries and will also coordinate international sales and distribution activities. He succeeds Peter Christmann.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group acquires stake in autoplenum.de. autoplenum.de is Germany's first independent, single-theme information and evaluation platform for all things automotive.

October 13

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group acquires majority interest in Webnews.de. Webnews.de is a news platform that pools professional news from various online media with user-generated content.

2009

January 1

The new Danish channel 6'eren is launched.

Acquisition of SBS Radio HNV AB in Sweden

The central editorial department of Sat.1 is converted into a GmbH of its own: foundation of maz&more GmbH.

February

Subsidiary ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion outsources its Berlin divisions into a new GmbH.


March 1

Thomas Ebeling is the new CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. He is responsible for all questions involving Group Content, international Free TV, Corporate, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing and print.

New Playout Center in Munich is initiated.

Sat.1 moves to Munich, all general interest stations are now concentrated under the roof of the German Free TV Holding in Unterfoehring, Munich.

Concentration of TV and Online marketing: fusion of marketers SevenOne Media and SevenOne Interactive into SevenOne Media GmbH.
