SBS Broadcasting Confirms Zoltan Vardy As Vice President Sales

In Dual Role, Zoltan Vardy Will Continue as Commercial Director TV2 Hungary

Luxembourg, December 19, 2006 – SBS Broadcasting Sarl confirmed today the appointment of Zoltan Vardy (36) as Vice President Sales SBS Broadcasting Group. He will continue to act as Commercial Director TV2 in Hungary. The announcement was made by Patrick Tillieux, acting Chief Executive Officer of SBS Broadcasting Group.

In his role as Vice President Sales, Mr. Vardy will be responsible for increasing SBS’s advertising-based revenue by negotiating sales agreements for commercial airtime across SBS’s 19 European commercial television stations with international advertisers and media agencies. In addition, he will support SBS’s expansion into new markets with high growth potential and develop novel advertising-driven projects. Internally, Mr. Vardy will facilitate a “best practice” transfer among all of SBS’s sales operations, with a focus on revenue management and trade marketing. He will continue to be based in Budapest.

In making the announcement, Mr. Tillieux said: “As a seasoned manager with a proven track record within SBS since 2002, Zoltan Vardy has the passion and acumen to increase SBS’s revenue across its commercial television operations and to build SBS’s profile further in the international advertising community. For the benefit of our international advertisers, he will identify commercial possibilities offered by new advertising forms such as TV power breaks, non-spot advertising or cross media campaigns. Zoltan is highly regarded within the European television and advertising industry and well-qualified to leverage SBS’s presence regarding multi-territory advertising sales across the Nordic countries, Benelux and Central and Eastern Europe. As Commercial Director, he will continue to contribute to the success of TV2, which has established itself as one of the leading commercial TV stations in Hungary.”
