Stockholm, December 1, 2006 - Kanal 5 AB announced today that it has completed two management promotions within its Swedish television operations. After seven years as Managing Director of Kanal 5, Manfred Aronsson has been promoted to Chairman of Kanal 5 AB. Jonas Sjögren, currently Deputy Managing Director at Kanal 5 as well as Commercial Director, will become the Managing Director of Kanal 5 AB. The announcement was made by Patrick Tillieux, acting Chief Executive Officer of SBS Broadcasting Group, which owns Kanal 5.

Commenting on the announcements, Patrick Tillieux said: “Jonas Sjögren is a seasoned manager who has held a number of senior management positions at Kanal 5 since 2000. As Deputy Managing Director and Commercial Director, Jonas has played a vital role in Kanal 5’s successful history over the past years. My experience with him is one of accountability and entrepreneurship and he is highly regarded within the Swedish television and advertising community. Jonas is the right person to continue developing Kanal 5 successfully thanks to his passion and experience.”

He continued: “Manfred’s promotion to Chairman of Kanal 5 is testimony to his leadership under which Kanal 5 has become the second-most watched commercial television station in Sweden.
