Public Value

Our Responsibility

Television reaches millions of people
simultaneously in a way that no other medium can. As a commercial
broadcaster, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group sees this as a great
opportunity to do good.
Our commitment to doing the right thing is based on creative ideas
- which after all are the basis for our business. Thanks to our
popularity, we can reach young people in particular for important
societal topics.
In doing so, we focus on four objectives: We want to create
opportunities, engage culture, communicate values, and build
knowledge. For example, on RED NOSE DAY we collect donations for
needy children. With the FIRST STEPS AWARD we help new talent take
their first steps into the film business. On Tolerance Day, our
documentaries and films examine diversity issues. In addition, each
week we devote about 90 hours of programming time to information
content, and even more after major events like the earthquake in
Japan.
We take responsibility for society. On the pages that follow, you
can find out how.
Our Engagement
-
Creating Opportunities
Our charity drives are aimed at collecting donations for people in need. We also hope to foster links between social projects and financial professionals.
-
Engaging Culture
Talent needs a place to grow, so we support newcomers entering the broadcast business, and help young people in their personal development.
-
Communicating Values
We believe in tolerance, diversity, and sustainability. We use our wide reach to communicate these values to as many people as possible.
-
Building Knowledge
With a rich variety of information programming, our stations contribute to the public dialog. Every day we inform a broad public on the important issues of our day.
-
Legal framework
As a media group we take on responsibility - also for an independent formation of opinion and the protection of minors.
