The Goal Is a Better Future
In the ran boarding school in Haiti, young earthquake victims get new hope.
School in the morning, soccer in the afternoon - that's the new daily routine for the boys and girls at the ran boarding school in Haiti. There they have found a new home, after many of them lost everything in the earthquake. In addition to school education, they get training in a regional sports program by the Haitian soccer association.
The project is supported by the SAT.1 campaign "ran helps Haiti" as part of RED NOSE DAY. For example, the station collected over 500,000 euros at a benefit game between the Haitian national team and the ran-Allstars. The initiators used the money to construct a boarding school building. The children moved into their new home at the beginning of the year.
