An Eye on a Green Future

The “Green Seven” and “Love green” initiatives get people interested in environmental issues.

We only have one planet, and all of us should do something to help it. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group agrees, and gives environmental protection issues much space in its programming. The message is that each individual can do something to bring about change. An example is the month-long ProSieben "Green Seven 2011." For the third time, the campaign woke people up, explained the issues, and showed how we can do better. In the kick-off report on May 1, host Stefan Gödde discussed how much valuable raw material ends up in German trash cans. The documentary "Our Earth" offered a thought-provoking look at the consequences of climate change. Articles in TV magazines "Galileo" and "taff " showed what we can all do in our daily lives. Viewers responded: Over 30,000 of them took part in the online survey "How eco are you?" put on by ProSieben and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. At SAT.1 it's "Love green": With this motto, the station started the first nationwide sustainability campaign as the main sponsor.
