The kabel eins show "Challenge" presents portraits of handicapped people.
The challenges, problems and dreams of handicapped people are as varied as those of their neighbors and colleagues who have no such handicaps. With the "Challenge" project, the Handicapped and Media Working Group (ABM) is joining with kabel eins to promote a better understanding.
Since 2000, each month the format has featured a different handicapped individual. Handicapped people also work on the editorial team, so they themselves can give a nuanced view of daily life. At the same time, the project motivates people with handicaps to play an active role in society.
