The knowledge magazine “Galileo” explains backgrounds in an engaging way

There is an explorer in all of us. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group arouses curiosity about the mysteries of the world and shows that knowledge can be fun, if you just present it the right way: High production values, well-researched documentation, real-life information - the stations devote a total of 90 hours a week to knowledge formats, in addition to news and sports programming. No context is too complicated, no background too complex. Editors make each subject comprehensible and entertaining. At the forefront is the ProSieben magazine "Galileo." For 12 years, the series with host Aiman Abdallah has been a leader in knowledge transfer, especially for young viewers. A "Galileo" special on the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster shed light on the long-term effects of a reactor accident in a very arresting way. Success proves that the show is on the right path. In 2010 the documentary "Caravan of Hope" on the battle against female circumcision in Africa received the Adolf-Grimme prize.
