The SBS local radio stations are broadcast in Finland’s main cities: Radio 957 in Tampere (weekly reach 25%), Radio Sata in Turku (weekly reach 8%), Radio Mega in Oulu (weekly reach 18%) and Radio Jyvaskyla in Jyvaskyla (weekly reach 25%) – weekly reach was measured within the commercial target group in Finland in 2005 (Source: Finnpanel/KRT). All stations target audiences between 25-44 years of age.
These local stations share the advantages of a radio network while operating locally at the same time. Thus, advertising can either be bought across all stations or separately. The stations all have a colorful history and are well-known, popular local brands. For instance, Radio 957 was the second commercial radio station to be launched in Finland in 1985.
