Positioning

Sat.1 is the strongest station brand for a large audience. The station has the Group’s broadest target audience, and especially focuses on viewers between the ages of 25 and 49. This positioning is expressed by the station’s motto, “Sat.1 shows ’em all.” The slogan stands for the station’s aspiration to provide television for everyone, with an innovative range of high-quality programming.



Programming

Sat.1 offers its viewers strong, diverse programming brands, from thrilling TV movies to big variety shows to exciting soccer matches from the Champions League. The station commissions among the highest volumes of new productions in the German production industry. Its event productions, like “Das Wunder von Lengede” and “Die Nibelungen,” have been setting standards in the German TV industry for years. Series, TV movies and Telenovelas produced in house like “Verliebt in Berlin” have given the station a well-known and unmistakable image – which also includes some of the most popular and successful comedies on German TV like “Schillerstraße” and “Pastewka or successful US-Series like "Navy CIS”.
