Since early in 2005, ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG has had its own TV station in the United States. The station, named “ProSiebenSat.1 Welt,” targets the roughly one million German-speaking viewers who live in the USA. The channel is distributed via Dish Network by Echostar, one of the leading U.S. satellite operators.

ProSiebenSat.1 Welt offers general-interest programming 24 hours a day, selected from the most attractive programs of Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins and N24. In addition to the latest news from Germany, films, series, comedy, magazines and variety shows from the Group, every week ProSiebenSat.1 Welt broadcasts two First Bundesliga soccer games live.

The station is financed by subscriber fees and advertising, and is expected to break even in 2007.
