TVNorge (Norway)

TVNORGE is a young, entertainment-based television channel with a broad appeal in Norway. TVNORGE’s programming contains a blend of local and international content that is both contemporary and engaging. The local news program ”Aktuelt”, featuring popular anchors and a solid journalistic approach, draws in a loyal audience every day. The show that was on everyone’s lips in 2005 was “Heia Tufte” (FC Nerds) – presenting extremely un-athletic "nerds" learning how to play football, or at least trying to learn, and eventually facing the Norwegian football champion Vålerenga for a match in a spectator-packed stadium. Other popular local productions include “71 Degrees North” (in its seventh consecutive season), “The Biggest Loser,” “That’ll Teach ’Em” and “Power of Spirits”. When it comes to international programming, TVNORGE brings its viewers talk-of-the-town U.S. series such as “Lost”, all three flights of “CSI” and Reality TV formats such as “Nanny 911”. TVNORGE also collaborates closely with 16 Norwegian television stations to exchange current local daily news clips and has a branded window on the TV magazine “Bymagasinet” (City Magazine). This cooperation grants TVNORGE additional exposure within the overall TV landscape and specifically on terrestrial TV in Norway.
