Kanal 4 is the first fully fledged women's channel in Denmark. Combining a mix of Danish productions with international quality programming, the objective is to create a female channel which features both entertainment and in-depth programming. The channel brings it’s viewers carefully selected, high-quality documentaries, award winning and timeless series such as ”Grey’s Anatomy”, ”Ghost Whisperer” and ”Gossip Girl”, reality shows and lifestyle programs.

Kanal 4 is broadcast from the UK and distributed via digital satellite, IPTV, digital terrestrial as well as analogue and digital cable resulting in a reach of more than 72 percent of all Danish households. The TV station was launched in May 2006.
